Honey


Honey is helpful in inflammation due to canker sores and reduce the pain. Studies show that canker sores will disappear in just 3-4 days if you use honey to cure your canker sores. Honey has anti-bacterial properties that are helpful in preventing canker sores in your mouth. Home remedies responds very well to painful canker sores if used it properly. Combine one teaspoon of honey and one-fourth teaspoon of turmeric powder to make a paste and apply it on the affected area. Keep it for 15 to 20 minutes.  You can also keep a teaspoon of honey in and around the affected area of canker sore to reduce the pain and inflammation caused by canker sores.

Licorice Root


Licorice Root helps to heal canker sores or mouth sores. It contains many medicinal properties that are helpful in canker sore and cold sore. It has the potential to heal faster. Licorice Root contains glycyrrhizin, which has anti-inflammatory properties which is useful soothing the affected area of a canker sore. Crush licorice root and Soak it in two cups of water for 2-3 hours and use the solution as a mouthwash. Apply licorice root extract to canker sores can suppress their size and heal it much faster. Coriander


Coriander leaves has many medicinal perperties. Coriander is one of the effective home remedy for canker sore. It has anti-inflammatory, anti fungal and  antiseptic properties that is helpful treating canker sores. Take one teaspoon of coriander seeds or leaves in a cup of water and boil it. Use the strain water like mouth wash, three to four times a day. You can also drink the coriander leaves juice and  keep it in your mouth for some time. It will relief you from canker sore.

Aloe Vera


Aloe Vera is one of the most effective home remedy for canker sore. It contains anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties that can help reduce the pain and get rid of canker sores. It has the potential to heal faster from canker sores. You can use aloe Vera in various forms for canker sores. You can use either as a gel or juice. It has the ability to soothe canker sores. Apply extracted fresh aloe Vera juice directly over the canker sore. Do this 3-4 times a day. You can also use the fresh aloe Vera juice as mouth washes three or four times a day. If you dont have aloe vera tree then aloe vera juice is easily available in the market.


Tea Bag


A used tea bag is very useful in the healing process of canker sores. It contains tannic acid which acts as an astringent that reduces painful canker sore. After using a tea bag keep it in freeze for 5-10 minutes. Place it over the canker sore for about 15 to 20 minutes to relief from pain. Do this two or three times a day until the canker sore disappears. Tea contains astringent compounds, which may help in relieving canker sore pain. For this home remedy you can either use black or green tea bag.

Sage


Sage contains anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties that kills bacteria and viruses and reduce inflammation caused by canker sores. It contains many medicinal properties that are helpful in canker sore and many other diseases. It acts as an astringent and suppress the canker sores. Boil 2 cups of water with 2-3 teaspoons of sage leaf for 15 minutes. Wash your mouth with this solution 3-4 times a day. You can also use sage leaves in its powdered form. Apply it over the canker sores.

Tea Tree Oil


Tea Tree Oil helps to heal canker sores or mouth sores. It contains numerous medicinal properties that are helpful in canker sore and many other home remedies. Tea Tree Oil has the potential to heal faster. Tea tree oil has antiseptic and antibacterial properties that are very effective in treating canker sores. It can also prevent occurring mouth ulcer or canker sores. Make a solution of tea tree oil and water in a glass and use the solution to wash your mouth. Do this two or three times a day until the canker sore disappears.

Baking Soda


Baking soda is a very good home remedy for canker sores as it has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. It is helpful for relieving pain and speed healing. Rinse your mouth with baking soda water that will help you to suppress the canker sores by removing the infection. Make a paste using baking soda and a little water. Apply it to the affected area to get relief. You can also use lukewarm baking soda water and rinse it several times a day. Your canker sore pain will reduce in 2-3 days.
